Sakshi and Mirabai’s Arjuna award applications stump officials

In an unusual move that has surprised the sports fraternity, Khel Ratna awardee Wrestler Sakshi Malik and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu have applied for this year’s Arjuna awards, despite having already been honoured with the country’s highest sporting honour. The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award is India’s highest sporting honour and till date, there have been 38 awardees.
