Researchers Claim to Have Developed Cost-Effective Method to Extract High-Purity Lithium from Seawater

Researchers at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia claim to have developed a cost-effective method of extracting pure lithium - a component of batteries that power electric vehicles - from seawater. Lithium land reserves are expected to run out by 2080.
